(plural: portmanteaux)

a word which fuses two or more words or parts of words to give a combined meaning.

It was bound to happen.

I started investigating iTunes more thoroughly while going digital. And discovered Podcasts. Combined from the words “iPod” and “broadcasts”, podcasts are digital media automatically downloaded from internet to personal devices.

iTunes offers thousands of podcasts, from the Arts to TV. I have subscribed to “Real Time with Bill Maher”, “Anderson Cooper 360 Daily Podcast” and “Weekend Business”. I am sure I will add more as I investigate each category.

I have been listening to Bill Maher while reading the New York Times over breakfast.
